Sheryl Harvey

Director

Sheryl is the founder of Cogent Cleaning & Facility Management Services Pty Ltd,  that was incorporated to provide daily maintenance and specialised cleaning services to small and large retail, commercial, warehousing and apartment complexes and entities.

Sheryl has 14 years experience in the scoping, implementation and operational management of commercial cleaning contracts.

Sheryl has worked tirelessly to ensure that the services of Cogent not only meets its clients’ expectations but more so, exceeds them.  She is very proactive within the company and visits clients’ sites daily to ensure the relationship is maintained.

Sheryl thrives on  the challenges of investigating, structuring and implementing total solutions to clients’ cleaning and facility management needs.  She has gained this passion through implementing a FM model in some of the largest national multi-site companies in Australia by setting strategic goals  achieved by implementing a tactical strategy to reduce facility operating costs, to improve control over non-core business functions and to acquire best practice systems.

Sheryl understands the importance of customer service, communication and timely delivery having previously worked in the legal industry for major top tier law firms for in excess of 20 years.

Sebastian Sylvester

Senior Area Manager

Sebastian has extensive experience and knowledge in the day to day management and administration in the service industry with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.  This experience has been acquired from earlier in life working in sales roles and more so, the past 17 years in the cleaning industry.

In addition to day to day cleaning duties, Sebastian specialises in window/glass cleaning, carpet and furniture steam cleaning, power scrubbing of hard floors and grout and in particular, stripping and sealing of hard floors.

Sebastian is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction of our services, implementing new contracts, day to day liaison with clients and staff, interviewing new prospective cleaning staff, approving staff annual leave and undertaking site inspections and reporting on same.

Sebastian is an integral member of the Cogent team both for his knowledge of the industry and treatment of different finishes and his unwavering commitment to our clients.

Chuminda Senanayake

Area  Manager

Chuminda has 11 years experience in the commercial cleaning industry gained in the role of Area Manager which he has held with large national cleaning companies.

Chuminda joined Cogent in January 2017 and brought with him vast experience in all aspects of commercial cleaning including experience in stripping and sealing  of hard floors, carpet steam cleaning and window cleaning.

Since joining Cogent, Chuminda has been instrumental in assisting us seamlessly transition new major contracts.

Chuminda’s daily responsibilities includes implementing new contracts, day to day liaison with clients and staff, interviewing prospective new staff, managing staff’s timesheets, training staff, ensuring adherence to OH&S policies and procedures and safe work practices, attending to site inspections and reporting on same.


Kapila DeSilva

Area Manager

Kapila joined the Cogent team in 2016 bringing with him 15 years of experience in the cleaning industry.   Kapila has extensive experience in all facets of cleaning including stripping and sealing, carpet steam cleaning, operation of walkbehind and rideon sweepers/scrubbers.

Kapila is a valued member of our team and has rightfully earned the respect of his peers and clients.

Kapila’s daily responsibilities includes implementing new contracts, day to day liaison with clients and staff, interviewing prospective new staff, managing staff’s timesheets, training staff, ensuring adherence to OH&S policies and procedures and safe work practices, attending to site inspections and reporting on same.


Manoj Thambiraj

Site Supervisor

Manoj commenced his employment with Cogent in 2018 in the position of Site Supervisor.

Manoj brings with him 4 years experience in the cleaning industry and the unmistakeable passion to succeed and exceed our clients’ expectations.

Manoj’s daily responsibilities are to predominately visit sites whilst cleaners are on site to ensure that duties are being undertaken in accordance with Cogent’s and the client’s expectations, to identify and where required provide further training to staff, identify on a client’s site where periodical works need to be undertaken and report to the Operations Manager any issues/concerns that clients and/or staff are experiencing.
