Cogent Cleaning & Facility Management Services Pty Ltd was founded and established in 2015 by its current Director, Sheryl Harvey and provides pre-eminent daily maintenance and specialised cleaning services to a vast range of environments from large to small corporate organisations, retail outlets, television production companies, owners corporation companies and prominent warehouse and logistic companies. The demographic of our services includes all metropolitan and regional areas of Victoria and South Australia.

Our offices are located in Altona and includes a storage facility enabling us to store chemicals and equipment ensuring everything is on hand and easily accessible by staff 24/7.

Our Director has been managing high profile national cleaning contracts and managing the facility services of clients for in excess of 15 years when she commenced her career in the industry as National Business Development Manager for a major national cleaning and facilities management company within excess of 350 sites nationally. In 2015, Sheryl made the decision to establish her own company and today, this company employees in excess of eighty (80) cleaning staff and six (6) managerial and administrative staff. By following the company’s Values and Mission Statements, Cogent’s current annual turnover is approximately $2 million and increasing annually.

After being approached by many of its clients, it became apparent to Cogent that many organisations do not have the skill set or moreover, the resources, to source, evaluate and manage its organisation’s non-core services that are business critical nonetheless. These services include waste and recycling management, pest control, grounds maintenance, sanitary/hygiene services and building maintenance/handyman services. As a value add to its clients, Cogent can provide expertise in these services which has been acquired over 15 years of tendering, evaluating, awarding, implementing and managing the day to day requirements of these soft services. Sheryl has been undertaking these services on a national basis on behalf of some of the largest multi site companies in Australia and has unparallel knowledge and experience in providing solutions to organisations’ needs and her market knowledge will ensure savings are released to our clients.

Cogent’s reputation ultimately rests on its staff and we have made a significant investment in establishing efficient systems and processes to identify, recruit, train, equip and reward quality cleaning staff, site supervisors and area managers to ensure delivery of exceptional cleaning services. Experience has taught us that contract management and staff supervision is critical to a successful client relationship and longevity of a contract.
